40 Minute Brioche Burger Buns

A few years ago Eva started making more bread products at home instead of buying them. One of our favorite discoveries as we searched for replacement recipes was this brioche burger bun recipe—it's quick and easy, and it elevates an already delicious St. Croix burger to nearly restaurant level perfection!


  • 1 1/4 cups milk, warmed (about 110° F)

  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 3 1/4 cups to 3 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg plus 1 teaspoon water for egg wash

  • poppy seeds, sesame seeds, etc for topping

Serves 8-12
